A deeper understanding of the customer and the needs of the market.

Applicability

The process could be included as a part of the lean start up process.  Specifically in the first stage, which is aimed at generating new business ideas.

Next?

In the whole process of generating a business model, the next steps are development, designing, prototyping and communicating.

First step: the students, in working teams, have to describe the physical features of the potential client. It can be a picture or a drawing.

 

Second step: they have to fill the personal data of the customer with as many details as it is possible. Age, place of birth, educational achievement, earnings,
where does she/he live, job, position in the company, beliefs, what movies does she/he like, what does she/he do in the free time etc.

 

Third step: Fill the flow diagram of the canvas to see what necessity hasn’t been fulfilled yet and why.

 

Fourth step: Come up with the solutions which solve the problems described in precedent stages and generate the value proposal with all the ideas developed before.
