Outcome

An idea of a different story which sells the same product avoiding the stereotype. It can be just the idea or the storyboard.

First step: the students will have to visualize several commercials which use stereotypes. Every group must find out at least one advert on his own and choose one of the examples to work in. working teams, have to describe the physical features of the potential client. It can be a picture or a drawing.

Second step: a card will be given to each group to be filled. They must do some research and come to an agreement in the best answers to the questions included in the card. The main question is which stereotypes are used in the advert and how deep they are used. They don’t have to be explicit, it can be expressed as a non verbal language, the framework within which the story is developed or so.

Third step: a brainstorm to select the best idea to sell the product of the advert chosen without the stereotypes which have been detected in the previous step.

Fourth step: developing a visual storytelling with a tool such Powtoons, which will be the final presentation of the product.
