Main Goal

The Thrive! project (Erasmus+, 2017-2019) has developed three sets of learning materials, aimed specifically at entrepreneurial education for the creative industries. One of the sets is aimed specifically at young entrepeneurs.

Organisation

The three sets of learning materials are complete bundles of student syllabus, teachers’ guides and other materials. The organisation depends on the chosen set of materials, but all of them require students to work in groups.

Resources

Depends on the chosen materials. The materials for young entrepeneurs require a real client (or a teacher simulating one) and a wicked problem for the students to work on.

Outcome

The materials work on specific entrepreneurial competences. For the materials for young entrepreneurs, one concrete outcome is a user-validated and business-proofed entrepeneurial idea based on a design challenge.

Applicability

All learning materials consists of several modules and lessons, that can be selected, mixed and adapted.

References

The materials can be obtained via the Thrive! project website.

The Thrive! project has developed three sets of entrepreneurial learning materials, specially aimed at (students of) the creative industries. Each set of materials is aimed at one specific target group:

  1. Young entrepeneurs, who do not yet have a lot of business experience,
  2. Employees working in growth companies, who want to develop their entrepeneurial skills,
  3. Female entrepreneurs, still an underrepresented group in Europe, with specific attention to attitudes and competences that typical female entrepreneurs feel less confident about.

Apart from the learning materials, they is an entrepeneurial awareness scan, and self-assessment scans for the three target groups and five creative-industries sub-sectors. These scans can be used individually or in a class setting, to assess the current competences and receive recommendations on improvement areas.
